Kelvin is the Founder and a Director of 2020 Safety Training, with a distinguished background in the Royal Navy Submarine service, where he served for 13 years as a Marine Engineer. During his tenure in the Navy, he attained the rank of Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, gaining extensive experience in engineering management, maintenance, operations, emergency response management, and leadership skills. He also qualified as an electrical power generation and nuclear operator.
In recent years, Kelvin has transitioned into the safety and risk management field, taking on senior management and leadership positions within the Oil and Gas and Energy sectors. His roles have involved a comprehensive approach to health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) management for both greenfield and brownfield projects, collaborating with global organizations as both an employee and associate consultant.
Kelvin’s professional credentials are noteworthy; he is a Chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and holds two engineering degrees. Furthermore, he possesses multiple NEBOSH qualifications, a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, and postgraduate qualifications in Risk and Safety Management. Additionally, he is a qualified teacher and assessor, where he enjoys giving his time to build the future safety and risk leaders of tomorrow. His combination of military experience, engineering expertise, and extensive qualifications in safety and risk management positions him as a knowledgeable leader in the field.

Salvatore’s expertise extends to developing comprehensive health and safety policies for businesses lacking a Health and Safety Management System (HSMS). He identifies the need for ongoing adaptation in dynamic fields such as Human Resources and Health and Safety, stressing the importance of effective leadership during periods of change. His consultancy services cover various areas, including emergency procedures, policy creation, audits, and risk assessments, tailored to both small and large groups.
