You have up to 2 years to complete the qualification. Average completion time: 4-12 months. Time
dedication: 450 hours approx

Assessment method

This qualification is competence-based, candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in the units. Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.

The qualification must be internally assessed by an appropriately experienced and qualified assessor.

Each candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

Evidence can include:
– professional discussion
– witness testimony
– reflective accounts

Learning outcomes set out what a candidate is expected to know, understand or be able to do.

Assessment criteria specify the standard a candidate must meet to show the learning outcome has been achieved.

Assessments are carried out remotely by an assessor who will give feedback via email on completion of each module – you cannot fail! Simply re-upload the files once the amendments are made and resubmit for assessment. Professional discussion carried out ofer MS Teams.

Entry requirements

An English verbal and writing proficiency, to allow you to discuss and write reflective accounts regarding your work activities.

You operate at a strategic level, where responsibilities include organisational management, management system oversight and leadership of people and leadership decision making.

Equivalent to Masters Degree

The qualification is fully remote and self led, utilising our online E-portfolio system which allows you to work through the material at your own pace while having access to guidance and mentorship when needed.

It is really down to the learner: the duration of the course varies depending on individual progress, but it typically takes between 4 to 12 months to complete, but up to 2 years is permitted. But there are instances where it has been completed in a matter of weeks. Estimated 450 hours.

The diploma is competency-based and consists of mandatory and optional units. Learners must
complete a minimum number of credits from a selection of units that cover various aspects of management and leadership, including strategic planning, leading teams, and performance management.

No final exam. Assessment is carried out through practical assignments and workplace-based evidence. You will create a portfolio demonstrating your competency in various strategic management and leadership areas.

Upon completion the learner will receive a coveted Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership (Equivalent to a Masters).

Candidates typically need to have a relevant Level 6 qualification and substantial experience in a health and safety role. However, entry requirements may vary, so it’s advisable to check with the specific training provider.
